What you will do

• Develop LC-MS methods for characterizing biotherapeutics, with emphasis on mRNA and oligonucleotide analysis.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Orbitrap, TOF, liquid chromatography, and general laboratory equipment.
• Characterize mRNA critical quality attributes, including 5′ capping efficiency, 3′ polyA tail distribution, and oligonucleotide sequence mapping.
• Provide analytical support for formulation, process development, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Conduct sample preparation and LC-MS analyses, document results in an electronic laboratory notebook, and improve analytical workflows.
• Author and review IND and comparability study documents.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related field.
• 0–3 years of industry experience.
• Hands-on LC-MS method development, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and data analysis experience.
• Experience with LC-MS software such as XCalibur, Protein Metrics, FreeStyle, Skyline, BioPharma Finder, or MassLynx.
• Strong documentation, presentation, communication, independent working, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing mRNA, oligonucleotides, antibodies, or LNPs by LC-MS.
• Experience with mRNA 5′ capping and 3′ polyA tail LC-MS analysis.
• Additional analytical techniques relevant to mRNA or LNP analysis.
