Assistant Superintendent (Construction)

Location: On-site community construction job site; North Baldwin area

What you will do

• Inspect homes daily to verify workmanship, plans, specifications, construction progress, and quality standards.
• Schedule and attend inspections, homeowner orientations, walk-throughs, and closing sign-offs.
• Assist the Superintendent with scheduling, supervising, and evaluating subcontractors on quality, safety, timing, and cost control.
• Support construction schedules and material management while preventing damage, waste, and theft.
• Enforce jobsite safety, cleanliness, building-code, and company standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and homeowners and provide customer service throughout construction.

Requirements

• Knowledge or willingness to develop knowledge of building codes, construction materials, methodologies, terminology, and scheduling.
• Ability to manage or support inspections, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and construction-site safety.
• Ability to work overtime and additional hours as needed to meet business requirements.
• Ability to maintain schedules, policies, and guidelines in the Superintendent's absence.
• Professional and ethical conduct with a focus on customer service.
