Project Superintendent (Construction)

Location: On-site in Kingsport, Tennessee, 5 days per week

Hourly base pay: $26.35–$49.92

What you will do

• Lead on-site construction for a complete university dormitory renovation.
• Supervise building renovation, infrastructure upgrades, utility work, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
• Plan and coordinate demolition, structural modifications, interior build-out, MEP systems, utilities, and phased turnovers.
• Manage pull planning, short-interval planning, look-ahead schedules, milestone dates, and schedule recovery plans.
• Lead daily subcontractor and field progress meetings while coordinating shutdowns, tie-ins, relocations, inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Enforce safety requirements and oversee quality control, punch-list completion, RFIs, submittals, as-built conditions, and deficiency tracking.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically at least 5 years of general construction experience, including project supervision or coordination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
• State contractor licenses and OSHA 30 certification are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Procore.
• State contractor licenses such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer.
• OSHA 30 certification.
