Undergrad Co-op Drug Substance Technologies Synthetics (Synthetic Organic Chemistry)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; candidates must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-op. Relocation support is provided as a transportation allowance for eligible candidates.

Salary: $28.87 per hour.

What you will do

• Apply synthetic organic chemistry to develop robust processes and technologies for manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Support processes ranging from early-stage development through late-stage development and commercial manufacturing.
• Learn and apply process scale-up principles for small-molecule intermediates, hybrid modalities, and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Work with scientists and engineers implementing advanced manufacturing technologies across multiple product modalities.
• Support R&D, clinical, and commercial partners by translating developmental processes into manufacturing practice.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• At least one year of study must be completed before the co-op begins, with continued enrollment after the program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
• Must be available for a full-time, six-month co-op from January through June 2027.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.

• Academic concentration in Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, or Chemical Biology.
