Location: On-site at the Hawthorne, NY facility; occasional travel to the nearby Tarrytown facility may be required.

Salary: $176,100–$287,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and manage the day-to-day activities, vision, priorities, and goals of the R&D Chemistry Peptidomimetic group.
• Design and generate novel peptidomimetic drug modalities using medicinal chemistry and SAR-driven approaches.
• Troubleshoot and optimize peptide potency and stability through backbone modifications, non-natural amino acid incorporation, and assay-guided strategies.
• Lead internal and external project teams developing antibody-conjugated peptidomimetic therapeutics.
• Develop linker, payload, synthesis, and bioconjugation strategies to improve existing platforms.
• Collaborate with chemistry, biology, technology, therapeutic-area, and other cross-functional groups to advance development candidates.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in peptide chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional industry experience.
• Extensive experience with antibody-targeted peptidomimetic drug discovery, payload and linker synthesis, medicinal chemistry SAR, and bioconjugation.
• Strong understanding of biological mechanisms of action, target evaluation, ADME/PK, pharmacodynamics, efficacy, and toxicology.
• Proven success in peptidomimetics, small molecules, or antibody-targeted therapeutics, including advancing molecules into the clinic.
• Experience building and leading teams, communicating effectively, and collaborating across functions.
