Medical Liaison (Obesity & Liver Health)

Location: Field-based position covering Michigan, with Detroit, MI listed as the location. Requires 50–75% overnight travel and a valid driver's license.

Base salary: $116,820–$216,100 annually for the Medical Liaison title; the Senior Medical Liaison range is $148,290–$259,510 annually. The role is also eligible for a company performance bonus.

What you will do

• Build scientific and clinical relationships with healthcare providers, organized providers, IDNs, MCOs, academic institutions, and other healthcare organizations.
• Educate customers on approved products, devices, clinical data, and appropriate product use through presentations, workshops, forums, and round tables.
• Coordinate clinical studies with investigation sites, supporting study initiation, patient recruitment and retention, investigator education, completion, and publication activities.
• Collaborate with HEOR, Medical, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Government, and regional Field Medical Affairs teams.
• Develop medical territory and account plans, identify key relationships, and provide scientific support for formulary and access decisions.
• Record scientific activities and expenses, prepare regional reports, and follow applicable SOPs, compliance requirements, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree required.
• At least two years of experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain scientific and medical information to healthcare stakeholders.
• Experience with relevant clinical or therapeutic areas preferred; extensive diabetes experience strongly preferred.
• Business acumen, including experience participating in formulary decision processes.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight 50–75% of the time.
