Senior Medical Science Liaison (Obesity)

Location: Field-based role covering the Washington, D.C. metro area, United States

What you will do

• Serve as the primary scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, population health decision makers, community healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges and communicate balanced clinical, outcomes, and economic data related to obesity.
• Engage clinical investigators and research sites in support of the obesity pipeline, sponsored research, and non-sponsored clinical research.
• Connect external and internal stakeholders, provide field insights, and support medical strategy and project teams.
• Lead or support congress activities, speaker training, and scientific education initiatives.
• Mentor other Medical Science Liaisons and complete required compliance, training, CRM, and administrative activities.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, medical research, post-doctoral training, residency, or fellowship experience.
• At least 2 years of Medical Science Liaison experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
• Experience with obesity or cardiometabolic conditions and an assigned territory is preferred.
• Strong scientific communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work in the Washington, D.C. metro territory as a field-based Medical Science Liaison.
