Manager, Cyber Readiness & Exercises

Location: Hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week; candidates must commute to a U.S. hub location: Phoenix, Arizona; Charlotte, North Carolina; Johnston, Rhode Island; Boston or Westwood, Massachusetts; Marlton, New Jersey; or Irving, Texas.

Salary: $175,000–$205,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, governance, maturity, and continuous improvement of the enterprise cybersecurity exercise and simulation program.
• Design, facilitate, execute, and evaluate exercises for technical, operational, executive, and business audiences.
• Build and maintain a cyber scenario library incorporating organizational capabilities, risks, known gaps, threat intelligence, and emerging adversary tactics.
• Develop methodologies, procedures, templates, playbooks, documentation, metrics, and reporting for consistent and audit-ready program delivery.
• Deliver findings, after-action reports, executive briefings, and recommendations, while tracking and validating corrective actions.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity exercise team and collaborate with security, resilience, technology, risk, and senior leadership stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, cyber operations, incident response, threat intelligence, resilience, security program management, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of people leadership and talent management experience.
• Experience designing, facilitating, executing, and evaluating cybersecurity exercises and simulations.
• Strong knowledge of cyber defense, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and operational resilience.
• Experience managing enterprise programs, governance processes, metrics, and reporting in large, complex, highly regulated organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in security, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CBCP.
• Emerging AI and security-focused credentials.
• Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Standards, CRI Profile, and cybersecurity exercise frameworks.
