Senior Software Engineer (.NET/C#)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah; hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. First preference is given to candidates residing in Utah. Secondary preference is given to candidates in AR, AZ, WA, MO, MT, MI, NE, MN, VA, NV, KS, PA, OR, WI, and OH.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, full-stack architecture, and software designs.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications using Microsoft .NET and C#.
• Own software projects from initiation through completion and execute tasks across the software development life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to design and implement software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, verification, validation, and software quality initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation and proposals and contribute to technical discussions.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule with at least 3 in-office days per week.
• 5+ years of .NET and C# development experience and 5+ years of web development experience with ASP.NET, Web APIs, and UI frameworks.
• 3+ years of SQL Server experience and relational database design knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, SQL databases, Entity Framework, Git, software design, and task estimation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, ORM technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and .NET 5 or later.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, ownership, problem-solving, time-management, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• TypeScript with React or Angular and front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in banking or fintech, microservice architecture, unit testing, and mocking frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems.
