Software Engineering, Team Lead (AWS/.NET)

Location: United States; employees can live anywhere in the US or its territories. Hybrid work with periodic travel to in-person events.

Salary: $135,000–$149,034 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop web-based and mobile software products supporting the college application community.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor a team of software developers.
• Define frontend, backend, API, database, and cloud architecture standards across teams.
• Guide CI/CD strategy, code quality, deployment processes, and software development practices.
• Oversee debugging and troubleshooting of production environments.
• Evaluate complex proofs of concept and guide solution adoption across the organization.

Requirements

• Must live in the United States or its territories and be able to travel periodically for in-person events.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of progressive software development experience and 6–8 years of people management experience.
• Advanced JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, and TypeScript experience with frontend architecture ownership.
• Expertise with C#, .NET Core, REST APIs, ORMs, Domain-Driven Design, dependency injection, MySQL, and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB.
• Advanced AWS, CI/CD, Agile, secure coding, OWASP Top 10, debugging, and production operations experience.
