Senior Technical Editor

Location: Onsite in the National Capital Region, including McLean, VA and Washington, DC; U.S. citizenship required

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee the editorial process for high-stakes technical documentation across large-scale programs.
• Transform raw data and engineering terminology into authoritative documents.
• Verify technical accuracy, reference sources, facts, copyright compliance, and agency style-guide adherence.
• Manage documents from outline through final publication, including online and web publishing.
• Mentor junior editorial staff and support project management activities.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for this opportunity.
• Onsite work in the National Capital Region is required.
• At least 10 years of total professional experience, including supervisory and project management experience.
• Master’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, or a technical field.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) and successfully complete the required government investigation.
