Senior Technical Writer (Compliance)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, US. Applicants must be legally authorized to reside and work in the United States; remote work outside the hiring country and international relocation are not considered.

What you will do

• Develop, update, and maintain compliance and technical documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and supporting materials.
• Audit documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, compliance gaps, and alignment with SOC 2, security policies, and governance requirements.
• Provide input on Certificate Policy and Certification Practices Statements for PKI programs.
• Translate complex compliance and technical concepts into clear content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage version control, document governance, repositories, knowledge-management systems, reviews, approvals, and historical records.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory updates, compliance communications, training materials, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Current legal authorization to reside and work in the United States is required.
• 3–6 years of professional or technical writing, editing, and process-documentation experience in computer security or a related field.
• Experience creating instructional documentation for technical and non-technical users, including PDF and HTML online help deliverables.
• Strong writing, editing, analytical, research, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to interpret technical, contractual, and policy content.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; ability to learn evolving tools, technologies, and processes.
• Understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies, including Agile, is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with JIRA, Git, and SAFe Agile project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
