Focus on building fraud intelligence profiles, collaborating with industry and law enforcement partners, and strengthening fraud prevention through training and improved controls.

Location: Newcastle, United Kingdom — hybrid, with attendance required at the Newcastle office in Q8 Building, Quorum Business Park, Longbenton.

Salary: From £29,000 per year, plus annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

  • Complete end-to-end investigations into suspected fraudulent Home and Motor insurance policies.
  • Use internal and external intelligence sources, data, and fraud detection tools to support investigations.
  • Engage with customers at relevant investigation stages to maintain strong customer outcomes.
  • Build relationships with industry peers, law enforcement agencies, and external organisations through conferences, working groups, and intelligence-sharing forums.
  • Create intelligence profiles and support fraud investigations in line with data protection requirements and intelligence-sharing protocols.
  • Deliver fraud awareness, training, and education across the business.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of general insurance underwriting.
  • Experience in counter fraud, financial crime, or insurance fraud.
  • Strong organisational skills, including workload management, prioritisation, and independent working.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to work across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Ability to travel to the Newcastle office as part of the hybrid working model.

Nice to have

  • Experience with counter fraud software and intelligence-gathering tools.
  • Knowledge of OSINT techniques and social media investigations.
  • Experience delivering training and presentations.
  • Progress towards or completion of relevant insurance, fraud, or professional qualifications.
