BIM Modeler (Structural Engineering)

What you will do

• Create accurate 2D CAD and 3D BIM models for building structures and foundations.
• Develop structural plans, sections, elevations, details, and construction documents from BIM models.
• Convert concepts, sketches, and hand-drawn designs into precise CAD representations.
• Coordinate modeling content, model exchanges, quality control, and deliverables with engineers, clients, and consultants.
• Manage large sheet sets, revisions, markups, annotations, dimensions, and production drawings.
• Support CAD/BIM workflows, model geolocation, and the continued development of BIM best practices.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent experience focused on building construction.
• Experience preparing plans, project deliverables, and drawings for building structures and foundations.
• Significant experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working knowledge of structural components, steel and concrete, construction techniques, print reading, and construction document production.
• Strong understanding of 3D parametric modeling, rendering, graphic formats, and output workflows.
• Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, TEKLA, and data exchanges between BIM platforms is preferred.
