Software Engineer, Ingestion Platform (Data Platform)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $164,200–$229,900 USD per year, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position offered.

What you will do

• Refine and maintain data infrastructure supporting machine learning and analytics workflows.
• Own the Data Movement Platform for batch and streaming data processing.
• Build infrastructure for Spark, Flink, and Airflow, including open-source contributions when needed.
• Develop automated, declarative, self-service solutions that reduce manual work for data users.
• Collaborate with partner teams on on-call support, monitoring, and alerting.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the Data Platform.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Python, Scala, Go, or Java.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale systems and proactively leading projects.
• Experience with cloud services, Airflow, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Spark, Flink, or modern cloud infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across service-oriented and broader organizational teams.
