Scientific Advisor (Protein Engineering)

What you will do

• Advise customers on protein optimization projects suited to the hirify.global platform, primarily across biotherapeutic and antibody programs.
• Translate scientific goals, assays, workflows, and customer data into objectives and inputs for the machine learning platform.
• Train customers, support platform use, and collaborate with engineering to produce effective protein designs.
• Present reports, interpret platform outputs and forecasts, and recommend project strategies and go/no-go decisions.
• Build relationships with scientific and business stakeholders, identify expansion opportunities, and monitor customer satisfaction and impact.
• Gather customer feedback and collaborate with product and engineering teams to guide platform development.

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, bioengineering, bioinformatics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of biopharma scientific experience in protein engineering, with a focus on antibodies.
• Experience with biophysical and/or functional assays and deep knowledge of biopharmaceutical R&D methods, processes, and tooling.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to build relationships with scientists and business leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning and non-antibody protein modalities, particularly enzymes.
• Relationship management or sales experience in biotechnology or software.
• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy, and Matplotlib.
• Familiarity with SQL.
