Senior Scientist, Computational Biology

Salary: $178,000–$215,250 per year, depending on skills, competency, and market demand.

What you will do

• Drive the development and adoption of novel experimental systems and techniques across early drug discovery programs.
• Develop analytical approaches, statistical methods, and proof-of-concept tools for emerging experimental strategies.
• Analyze multimodal and high-dimensional biological data to evaluate experimental systems and identify enabling insights.
• Design and evaluate complex experiments and define the limits of interpretation for biological applications.
• Distill information from diverse internal and external sources into relevant, testable biological conclusions.
• Collaborate with experimental scientists, computational teams, and quantitative modeling colleagues.

Requirements

• Postdoctoral fellowship plus two years of relevant experience, or a PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a quantitative field with deep expertise in statistics or method development and five years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and applying methods for high-dimensional, multimodal datasets and integrating high-throughput experiments.
• Experience analyzing complex genomics datasets, including bulk, single-cell, or spatial transcriptomics, CRISPR screens, multiplexed reporter assays, high-content imaging, or Perturb-seq.
• Experience with large consortia and public datasets such as UK Biobank, TCGA, GTEx, ENCODE, gnomAD, or Human Cell Atlas.
• Expertise in a high-level programming language such as R or Python, plus modern computing practices including cloud deployment, version control, and containerization.
• Peer-reviewed publications and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience partnering with computational or algorithms teams on statistical, machine learning, or methodological development.
