Senior Manager, US Primary Market Research (Biotech)

Location: Flexible commuter role to Thousand Oaks, California or Deerfield, Illinois; on-site a minimum of 2 days per week.

What you will do

• Partner with commercial and brand teams to frame business questions and translate research insights into brand strategy and execution.
• Lead the interpretation and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative primary market research using dashboards, analytics tools, and AI-enabled capabilities such as MRAgent.
• Identify insights, risks, opportunities, and strategic tradeoffs across studies, time periods, and data sources.
• Own KPI definitions, business rules, analytic intent, data quality, methodological rigor, and trend continuity for assigned brands and studies.
• Manage and coach direct reports while developing analytical judgment, strategic thinking, and stakeholder confidence.
• Advance PMR capabilities, methodologies, tools, and processes across brands.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree plus 2 years of experience, or master’s degree plus 4 years, or bachelor’s degree plus 6 years in analytics, sales, marketing, or related functions.
• Expertise in primary market research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative research.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills with senior audiences.
• Experience collaborating across functions in a matrixed environment.
• Experience managing or coaching teams and developing talent.
