Associate Operations Counsel (Mortgage)

Salary: $112,400–$149,800 annually

What you will do

• Provide timely, practical legal and regulatory advice to mortgage servicing and origination operations.
• Advise business divisions and departments on applicable laws, regulations, legal exposure, and risk mitigation.
• Draft contracts, policies, mortgage servicing documents, and product forms.
• Work with Corporate Compliance to support organization-wide regulatory compliance.
• Interface with regulatory authorities when needed and report legal and regulatory developments to management.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to practice law in the United States are required.
• Active law license in good standing is required.
• Typically 1–3 years of professional experience in the relevant area.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing and origination concepts, as well as federal and state regulations.
• Strong legal research, written communication, verbal communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to manage competing priorities.
