Pharmacist (Weekends priority!)

Location: Verda Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom; onsite pharmacy role. Regular weekly availability for at least one weekend day is required, with both weekend days preferred.

What you will do

• Follow standard operating procedures, operational guidelines, and pharmacy practice standards.
• Check dispensed prescriptions, supply medicines with the compounding team, and dispatch orders through couriers.
• Support the Superintendent Pharmacist, Head of Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Manager in developing and maintaining pharmacy procedures.
• Deputise for the Pharmacy Manager and help train and develop the pharmacy workforce.
• Manage near misses, investigate incidents with the Risk and Safety team, and create corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with Service and Supply Chain teams to improve order dispatch, patient experience, and inventory management.

Requirements

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is required.
• Junior or senior-level pharmacy experience with strong professional expertise.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and national and local pharmacy services.
• Excellent face-to-face communication and customer and patient care skills.
• Collaborative, team-centred approach with proactive problem-solving skills.
• Regular availability for at least one weekend day, or both weekend days, is required.
