Maintenance Technician (MedTech)

Location: Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands; onsite

Base pay: €35,000–€53,360 per year

What you will do

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment failures.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
• Execute and document maintenance work orders in Maximo.
• Support external service providers and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Validation.
• Participate in root cause investigations, reliability improvements, and maintenance excellence programs.

Requirements

• Technical vocational diploma or equivalent technical education.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or maintenance environments.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Experience using CMMS or eCMMS systems.
• Ability to work safely in a regulated manufacturing environment and comply with GMP, EHS, Quality, and site procedures.

Nice to have

• Electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC diagnostics.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment or instrumentation and controls.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or food manufacturing.
• NEN-3140 certification or willingness to obtain it.
