Laboratory Assistant II (Product Biochemistry)

Location: On-site laboratory setting in Tarrytown, New York, United States; consistent on-site presence required

Salary: $26.35–$41.15 per hour

What you will do

• Support laboratory operations by receiving packages, entering product information into the Electronic Notebook, and maintaining documentation.
• Manage internal, external, and international sample shipment requests and distribution workflows.
• Organize, catalog, and reconcile sample inventories, freezers, and non-database aliquot inventories.
• Participate in LIMS database development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate biannual pipette calibrations and maintain shared document libraries and Excel worksheets.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement strategies for efficient high-throughput laboratory operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or associate degree with 3 years of experience.
• Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry packages and supplies as needed.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to laboratory practices, SOPs, protocols, and procedures under supervision.
• Ability to work consistently on-site in a high-throughput laboratory.
