Scientist I/II (Bioanalysis)

Salary: $78,500–$141,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Support LC-MS/MS-based PK/PD, efficacy, and exploratory toxicology bioanalytical studies.
• Prepare and optimize samples from biological matrices using protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, and solid-phase extraction.
• Operate and troubleshoot Hamilton or Tecan robotic systems, LC-MS/MS platforms, autosamplers, Agilent HPLCs, and Sciex triple quadrupole mass spectrometers.
• Use Discovery Quant, Analyst, SciexOS, and MassHunter for data analysis, review, and reporting.
• Document work in LIMS, electronic laboratory notebooks, test methods, and protocols.
• Collaborate with Discovery and QTAS teams and train or mentor junior scientists as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of experience, in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Hands-on pharmaceutical bioanalysis experience with small molecules, peptides, and large molecules, including sample preparation and method development.
• Experience with automated liquid-handling platforms such as Hamilton or equivalent systems.
• Experience operating CTC-PAL and Agilent liquid chromatography instruments and LC-MS/MS systems such as AB Sciex triple quadrupole mass spectrometers.
• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, interpersonal, independent-work, and collaboration skills in a high-throughput environment.
