Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Redwood City, California, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Salary: $128,000–$159,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Run staffing, forecasting, capacity planning, utilization, budgeting, and quarterly and annual operating cycles for the professional services organization.
• Match engineers and consultants to engagements and monitor delivery health, margins, timelines, conversion metrics, and overrun risks.
• Build dashboards and reporting that provide leadership with real-time visibility into the delivery portfolio.
• Manage escalations, vendors, subcontractors, and coordination among delivery teams, account leads, executive sponsors, engineering, and finance.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI agents and internal applications for status reporting, staffing recommendations, account health scoring, proposal generation, and other workflows.
• Prototype solutions, evaluate platform capabilities and integrations, support organizational changes, and train delivery staff on new tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations, business operations, or technical program management within professional services, consulting, or forward-deployed engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of staffing models, utilization tracking, forecasting, and margin analysis.
• Experience owning a dashboard, reporting tool, or internal application from build through ongoing maintenance.
• Ability to communicate with and present to engineers and executives.
• US work authorization is required without current or future company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or implementation consulting.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, low-code, workflow automation, change management, or organizational design.
• Direct experience building or configuring AI agents and LLM-based tools, including prompt design, tool or function calling, agent orchestration, MCP, or similar protocols.
• Data manipulation skills and experience evaluating MCP servers, internal APIs, and third-party connectors.
