Engineer II (Slider Cleaning Process)

What you will do

• Monitor and analyze key process input and output variables and develop process control systems for cleanliness-critical requirements.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate process development activities, engineering trials, and machine qualifications.
• Perform root cause analysis for process and cleanliness issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Document technical findings, process changes, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Drive process improvement opportunities and technology solutions while supporting yield, quality, cost, and manufacturing-efficiency goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers and support the transfer of new products and processes into high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in HDD manufacturing, cleaning processes, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Written and spoken English proficiency is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root cause investigation, project management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and tools such as JMP, SQL, or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of chemical properties, surface chemistry, cleaning chemistries, contamination control, process characterization, and process development.

• Experience with contamination control, process characterization, and process development.
