Senior Staff Automation & Controls Engineer - Precision Equipment

Location: Onsite in Teparuk, Thailand; periodic evening meetings may be required to support collaboration across time zones.

hirify.global operates a Teparuk manufacturing site producing nano-recording heads for hard disk drives.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and development of advanced control and high-precision systems for next-generation equipment and prototype platforms.
• Develop and deploy motion control, machine vision alignment, and automation systems from concept through implementation.
• Integrate data acquisition, process monitoring, and control algorithms into equipment platforms with software, vision, and metrology engineers.
• Work with tool design engineers and process architects to measure, control, and maintain critical KPIVs through system design.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and global engineering teams to implement equipment controls solutions.

Requirements

• Background in controls engineering, automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field, with hands-on experience in precision equipment or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with advanced robotics systems and/or machine foundation engineering and a record of delivering precision automation solutions.
• Expertise in thermal, vibration, or optical engineering is advantageous.
• Understanding of data acquisition, signal processing, feedback control, system integration, precision, repeatability, and process control.
• Strong analytical, debugging, root-cause analysis, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English is required for global and cross-functional collaboration.
