Associate Director, (West) Region – Field Reimbursement, Patient Engagement & Customer Solution (PECS)

Location: Field-based in the West region, covering Seattle, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles, United States. Candidates must reside within the geography or be willing to relocate to it. Travel is up to 75% of the time.

Base pay: $122,000–$212,750 annually. Bay Area base pay: $142,000–$244,950 annually. The position is also eligible for a long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, develop, and retain a diverse regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers.
• Manage up to 10 direct reports and maximize access and fulfillment outcomes for prescribed patients starting or staying on therapy.
• Set short- and long-term strategy, translate district vision into execution, and manage team performance and accountability.
• Coach Field Reimbursement Managers in using data insights and account management capabilities to address access barriers.
• Support solutions involving Buy & Bill, medical and pharmacy benefits, specialty pharmacy, assignment of benefits, prior authorization, billing, coding, and appeals.
• Collaborate with Patient Access, Pharmacy Access, Medical, Market Access, Brand Marketing, Field Sales, and other internal and external stakeholders while managing the team budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or another relevant graduate degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of healthcare business experience, preferably in biopharmaceutical market access, field reimbursement, or managed markets.
• At least 3 years of direct people-management experience and demonstrated leadership success.
• Knowledge of account management, managed care, reimbursement principles, pharmacy and medical benefit design, Buy & Bill, coding, billing, prior authorization, office operations, and appeals.
• Valid driver’s license in one of the 50 United States.
• Must reside within the West region or be willing to relocate to it.

• Neuroscience disease-state or therapeutic-market experience.
• MBA, advanced degree, or relevant certifications.
• Experience navigating complex business circumstances and developing customer-oriented strategies.
• Cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment, strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience exploring emerging technologies such as AI and building team AI literacy.
