Senior Medical Science Liaison (Hematology)

Location: Michigan, United States, with listed locations in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Grand Rapids; territory support requires up to 70% travel.

What you will do

• Develop and execute a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives for the Michigan territory.
• Build professional relationships and conduct two-way, non-promotional scientific exchanges with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Translate complex clinical evidence into clear, tailored scientific discussions, presentations, and educational responses.
• Collect and share actionable insights that inform medical strategy, asset planning, and cross-functional decisions.
• Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies, respond to scientific inquiries, and connect investigators with research and grant processes.
• Use AI tools and MSL insights to improve decision-making, efficiency, engagement planning, and medical outcomes.

Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or an advanced practice provider qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as an MSL; post-graduate experience is required for doctoral candidates.
• Strong scientific and therapeutic expertise in research, data analysis, clinical practice, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to support a Michigan territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory visits, internal meetings, congresses, and related events.
• Valid US driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of therapeutic-area experience, preferably in hematology or a relevant clinical field.
• Residency or fellowship experience.
• Board certification for candidates with clinical degrees.
• Experience learning and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
