Drafter/Sr. Drafter (AutoCAD)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, with travel to hirify.global service areas

Salary: Drafter $48,720–$60,900 per year; Senior Drafter $55,520–$69,400 per year

What you will do

• Develop cost-effective piping, pipe support, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs for engineering projects.
• Create working drawings and construction packages using mechanical drafting and CADD tools.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, engineering sketches, bills of material, vendor drawings, and purchase requisitions.
• Collect field measurements, existing drawings, vendor information, engineer input, and standards to complete designs.
• Incorporate as-built information into final drawings and provide drawing interpretation during construction.
• Build drafting expertise through training, new CADD techniques, software, and collaboration with engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Drafter: no experience required; Senior Drafter: minimum three years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel from the home office to service areas and work outdoors, on construction sites, and in noise, dust, wind, heat, and cold.
• Ability to climb stairs and scaffolding, use safety harnesses and respiratory protection, and wear required PPE.
• Ability to work occasional overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience with CADD software such as AutoCAD.
• Experience interpreting survey alignment sheets, electrical layouts, or bore profile drawings.
