Data Engineer, Junior

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured cloud data.
• Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouses for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Perform SQL and NoSQL testing, data validation, post-deployment checks, and ingestion troubleshooting.
• Translate requirements into data models, workflows, and pipeline specifications with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Develop automation and scripts to convert data into usable formats and operate cloud-based data platforms.

Requirements

• 2+ years of data warehouse development experience.
• Experience with cloud-based data analysis, scalable data stores, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• SQL and Python experience for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with Cloudera or Hadoop technologies and backend SQL/NoSQL database testing.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Nice to have

• AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Postgres, Redshift, MySQL, or Snowflake experience.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Hive, AWS EMR, Kafka, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Experience with real-time data, streaming applications, UNIX/Linux, Shell scripting, or Agile practices.
• Experience using generative AI coding tools.
