Junior Data Migration Engineer (Azure)

Location: Westlake, Texas or Merrimack, New Hampshire; day-one onsite hybrid work required

Salary: $56,186–$87,556 per year, with possible variable compensation, bonus, or commission.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Extract, transform, and load data across migration environments.
• Define data mappings and transformation rules under senior engineering guidance.
• Execute data validation, reconciliation, and migration testing.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Document processes and maintain runbooks and playbooks.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing and SQL performance tuning.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, data platforms, databases, and data modeling.
• Experience with large datasets and public cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with complex system design.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with distributed application design and development using Java, .NET, or Python.
