Recruiting Analytics Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, San Francisco, or Seattle; staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Build and optimize scalable data infrastructure and dimensional models for recruiting analytics.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Google BigQuery, integrating Workday, Greenhouse, and internal tools.
• Support real-time and batch data flows with fault tolerance, monitoring, error handling, and automated quality checks.
• Implement data governance, documentation, lineage tracking, alerting, and row- and column-level security for sensitive candidate data.
• Develop semantic layers and data products for metrics such as offer acceptance rate, time to fill, and headcount movement.
• Partner with data scientists, software engineers, recruiting teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reusable analytics models.

Requirements

• Expertise in BigQuery, including optimization and partitioning.
• Experience with dimensional modeling and slowly changing dimensions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, and Fivetran.
• Experience implementing data security and privacy controls in cloud data warehouses.
• Ability to translate HR concepts into scalable data models and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Greenhouse or Lever data structures and workforce planning or predictive analytics.
• Experience building semantic layers for data agents, survey-data and text-analytics pipelines, or graph-based analysis.
• Background in privacy-enhancing technologies, sensitive data handling, or high-growth AI/ML organizations.
