Aircraft Maintenance Manager I (Deployable)

Location: Clovis, New Mexico, at Cannon AFB. The role requires deployment to various OCONUS operating locations on an approximate 90/90 rotation, including extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules.

What you will do

• Plan and schedule aircraft maintenance and repair activities for timely and cost-effective completion.
• Supervise maintenance personnel, establish work standards and shifts, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Conduct foreign object inspections and maintain fleet airworthiness and safe operating conditions.
• Analyze maintenance delays and system issues, implementing process improvements.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections while coordinating with departments and stakeholders.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of aviation experience; 11 years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, FAA regulations, and EASA requirements.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance and inspection processes, including returning aircraft to service.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Current/active Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to deploy OCONUS, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, maintain a valid passport, and obtain an international travel visa.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP certification and experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
• Previous management or lead experience, FAA Inspection Authorization designation, or aerospace and defense experience.
