Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA preferred; other hirify.global sites in the Americas may be considered. Travel to supplier and hirify.global locations is required as business needs require (10–15%). Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States under the listed citizenship, residency, refugee, or asylum categories.

What you will do

• Manage supplier quality activities across Americas sites and the direct-materials supply base.
• Lead supplier corrective actions, including containment, root-cause analysis, verification, and closure.
• Conduct supplier and site investigations into quality, delivery, capacity, and performance issues.
• Perform supplier audits and track corrective actions through completion.
• Maintain supplier risk assessments, mitigation plans, action tracking, scorecards, business reviews, and trend analysis.
• Drive supplier qualification, onboarding, development, production readiness, risk reduction, continuous improvement, and audit-readiness initiatives in collaboration with Quality, Sourcing, Engineering, Research & Technology, Operations, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Two to five years of experience in quality, manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of process mapping, problem-solving techniques, and project management principles.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate issues appropriately.
• U.S. work authorization under the eligibility categories specified in the posting is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, composites, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
