Supplier Quality Engineer (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Location: US-PA-Cheswick (EMD); US citizenship required. The role includes approximately 25% travel and may require access to export-controlled information and DoD security clearances.

Salary: $76,200–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate customer and regulatory requirements into supplier instructions and develop supplier oversight activities.
• Analyze supplier performance data and trends, identify quality risks, and resolve supplier or project issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement in the quality management system and maintain quality program procedures.
• Provide technical support to inspectors, project teams, and sourcing while responding to customer and supplier correspondence.
• Conduct internal, external, process, and supplier audits and mentor less senior Supplier Quality Engineers.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances and approvals.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical or scientific field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and drive actions to completion.
• Approximately 25% travel is expected.

Nice to have

• Auditing experience.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Ability to read and understand GD&T according to the ASME Y14.5 standard.
