What you will do

• Administer and configure production Windows Server systems using Nutanix and VMware vSphere.
• Monitor system health, uptime, performance, and alerts, and resolve Tier II incidents through root cause analysis.
• Support server hardware, web services, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, IIS, DHCP, Windows updates, backups, and user permissions.
• Create support tickets, prioritize customer issues, and provide technical support through telephone and ticketing systems.
• Document system information and train NOC, Service Desk, and Tier I personnel on troubleshooting and return-to-service procedures.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations and travel locally as required.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least two years of Windows Systems Administration experience.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration and enterprise infrastructure management.
• Ability to lift or push 10–20 pounds, access server equipment, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work in San Antonio, Texas and travel locally.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolarWinds Orion, Nutanix Files, VMware vSphere, PKI/SSL certificate administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Windows updates, and backups.
• MCSA, MCSE, A+, or Network+ certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
