What you will do

• Design, document, develop, test, simulate, and verify ASIC and FPGA hardware, firmware, and other programmable hardware.
• Apply ASIC and FPGA place-and-route tools and maintain physical design flows, libraries, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze components and assemblies for cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Integrate place-and-route tools and design libraries into government computer-aided design environments and support other physical designers.
• Perform security verification testing, certification activities, full-scan testing, and security code evaluation.
• Provide technical leadership, review engineering work, and direct less experienced hardware design engineers at higher levels.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required.
• Experience in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design is required: 1, 6, 12, or 15 years depending on the level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or qualifying additional hardware design experience in lieu of the degree.
• For the highest level, a master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience and a PhD may substitute for four years.
• Experience with ASIC or FPGA design, VHDL, physical implementation, security evaluation, and engineering documentation is relevant to the role.
