Financial Reporting Manager (Insurance)

Location: Bloomington, Illinois, United States

Base pay: $114,000–$156,750 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead financial reporting, accounting policies and controls, and maintenance of accurate accounting records.
• Coordinate financial statements and related schedules for internal management and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee compliance with statutory accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices, and external filing requirements.
• Research and implement changes to accounting rules, regulatory requirements, and company operations.
• Provide guidance on financial reporting requirements and lead finance and accounting team development.
• Manage disaster recovery plans and related communications for assigned areas.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Management experience leading or developing finance and accounting staff.
• Knowledge of auditing and experience with regulatory filings.
• Experience preparing financial statement filings.
• Ability to work in Bloomington, Illinois.
