Process Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Albany, NY, United States. On-site work in a semiconductor process laboratory and clean-room environment; occasional overnight travel to factories, training facilities, and customer locations may be required.

Salary: $30.35–$40.60 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and modify processes and methods for semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation.
• Work with group engineers to define criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations.
• Compile, analyze, and present experimental and test data to determine process and material specifications.
• Interpret physical and chemical behavior during process characterization.
• Create and revise standard operating procedures and document technical work.
• Complete a final project report and perform supervised work in the TEL process laboratory.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in nanoscience, engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
• Experience with statistical design and analysis of experiments.
• Fluent English is required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Physical duties may include working in confined areas and clean rooms, using personal protective equipment, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
