Insurance Product Director (Commercial Casualty)

Location: Remote - Maryland, United States

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 annual

What you will do

• Own Commercial Auto, Commercial General Liability, and Excess Liability products across design, implementation, governance, and ongoing maintenance.
• Manage coverage forms, endorsements, rating plans, underwriting rules, state requirements, and product documentation.
• Evaluate coverage language, deductibles, retentions, captive participation, reinsurance, attachment points, and excess coverage structures.
• Monitor ISO, legislative, regulatory, judicial, and market developments and coordinate product changes.
• Oversee admitted product form, rate, and rule filings, including regulator correspondence, objections, and approvals.
• Partner with Underwriting, Claims, Compliance, Legal, Actuarial, Operations, Technology, vendors, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience, or equivalent experience.
• Significant commercial casualty product management experience covering Commercial Auto, Commercial General Liability, and Excess Liability.
• Deep knowledge of ISO products, forms, endorsements, classifications, loss costs, filings, and implementation requirements.
• Experience developing or implementing proprietary, non-ISO, and manuscript forms and endorsements.
• Experience managing form, rate, and rule filings and interacting with state insurance regulators.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance product or policy administration systems.

Nice to have

• Commercial Auto experience involving trucking, transportation, or motor carrier risks.
• Experience with captive, fronting, alternative-risk, or multilayer casualty programs.
• Experience with SERFF and other regulatory filing platforms.
• Property & Casualty licensing or designations such as CPCU, ARM, AU, CIC, or ARe.
• Experience translating business requirements into system specifications and providing functional leadership.
