TL;DR

Full-Stack Engineer (Backend) (Python/React): Building and scaling backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven workflows, and internal tools for operations products with an accent on scalability, reliability, and backend architecture. Focus on designing microservices, integrating external APIs, developing frontend features with React and TypeScript, and applying AI coding tools to real engineering work.

Location: Boston, MA; hybrid workplace

What you will do

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Build and maintain Python backend services supporting RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows.
Architect systems optimized for speed, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to frontend development with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Develop internal tools, integrate external APIs, and improve development workflows through research and prototyping.
Expand, test, and release products used by thousands of customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of backend development experience.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, with familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture.
Fluency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge of TDD and automated testing frameworks.
Working knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript, plus familiarity with agentic development workflows and AI coding tools.
