Buyer (Life Science)

What you will do

• Ensure production material availability while responsibly managing cash flow.
• Manage supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
• Prepare rolling forecasts to prevent raw material shortages and supply chain bottlenecks.
• Improve procurement workflows and chemical and material management processes.
• Issue and maintain accurate purchase orders in the ERP system, resolve receiving and accounting documentation issues, and support manufacturing and NPI priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Life Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience in a technology or life science company.
• Ability to analyze problems, investigate root causes, and determine solutions.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills, including presenting information to management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP.
