Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from Toronto, Canada

Salary: CAD 110,000–135,000 per year, with potential additional bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain dbt models from the business vault layer through consumption-ready data marts in Redshift.
• Extend existing mart models and build Kimball-style datasets without requiring new data ingestion.
• Develop reliable, documented AI-ready datasets for internal AI and machine learning applications.
• Maintain data definitions, lineage, and field-level documentation in OpenMetadata.
• Partner with stakeholders and BI Analysts to define metrics, clarify reporting needs, and translate insight requirements into modeling work.
• Build Tableau dashboards and reports while keeping analytical logic in the data layer.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or a similar role.
• Production experience writing dbt models, tests, and documentation.
• Strong SQL skills in a cloud data warehouse environment; Redshift experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, including facts, dimensions, and slowly changing dimensions.
• Experience delivering analysis or dashboards to business stakeholders and working with multiple data sources.
• Proficiency with a business intelligence tool, preferably Tableau, and comfort with Git workflows, pull requests, and code review.
