Solution Architect - Traded Systems (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta or Boston, with two required office days per week

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, govern, and evolve end-to-end technology solutions across underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, and distribution.
• Own architecture strategies for complex programs and communicate designs, options, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create and maintain current-state, transformation, and target-state architecture artifacts, and present them to architecture review boards.
• Ensure downstream integrations for reporting, document production, finance, and other systems remain supported as core platforms evolve.
• Engage with engineering teams on testing and solution delivery across Java, Microsoft .NET, relational databases, and integration platforms.
• Review other architecture solutions and provide guidance on complex architecture issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in solution, systems, or enterprise architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience in insurance technology environments, with strong knowledge of P&C or commercial insurance operations.
• Experience with core insurance platforms and architecture principles, including managing multiple change projects in complex environments.
• Strong software engineering or lead developer experience and familiarity with Java or Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, and webMethods or Apigee.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, organization, and time-management skills.
