Mgr, Engineering - Developer Productivity (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop engineers responsible for platform engineering, developer experience, cloud-native development, automation, and operational excellence.
• Define and drive the roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform, self-service engineering capabilities, and reusable developer productivity solutions.
• Translate developer pain points into golden paths, paved-road experiences, infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and service management capabilities.
• Own the reliability, security, scalability, governance, modernization, and lifecycle management of engineering productivity platforms.
• Measure platform adoption, developer satisfaction, productivity gains, deployment efficiency, lead-time reduction, and operational burden.
• Evaluate Generative AI and AI-assisted development capabilities through experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and pilot programs.

Requirements

• Enterprise-scale experience building, operating, and evolving an Internal Developer Platform.
• Experience implementing golden paths, paved roads, self-service engineering, and developer productivity tooling.
• Strong knowledge of platform engineering, DevOps, cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, developer portals, infrastructure automation, and software delivery platforms.
• At least 8 years of progressive software engineering experience, including developer productivity, developer experience, or software delivery platforms.
• At least 3 years of technical leadership and 3 years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent work experience.

• MBA.
• Experience evaluating and implementing AI-assisted software development capabilities.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience with product development, business relationship management, or matrix management organizations.
