Principal Product Designer (UI Platform)

Location: Hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 168,000–231,000 annual base salary, plus applicable equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead UI platform and design system strategy across the product portfolio.
• Identify, create, document, and promote scalable, accessible, and localized design patterns.
• Partner with UI Platform, Product, Engineering, and Design Systems teams to align roadmaps and resolve cross-product dependencies.
• Balance product features, technical debt, quality, adoption, and governance across platform initiatives.
• Improve design alignment and documentation while mentoring designers and raising craft quality.
• Use data and AI insights to inform platform-level design decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Experience leading complex projects across conceptual, interaction, information architecture, and visual design.
• Strong systems-thinking, communication, collaboration, and design leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Balsamiq, or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Portfolio demonstrating large-scale, horizontal product work, preferably with enterprise or SaaS products; include a password if protected.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale enterprise and SaaS products.
• Examples of design work implemented in code.
