Head of Product Design (Fintech)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Set the vision, standards, and strategy for product design across Tilt.
• Lead, mentor, and develop six product designers and one researcher while owning future hiring and career development.
• Move design upstream into problem definition, roadmap-setting, and strategic decisions with Product and Engineering.
• Build a durable user research practice and advocate for customers through evidence, research, and user feedback.
• Scale the design system across Cash Advance, Credit Card, Thrive, and other everyday money products.
• Partner with Creative and lead practical AI and automation initiatives for design and product delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years designing and shipping consumer-facing mobile products, ideally in fintech or another complex domain.
• 5+ years managing designers and building high-performing design teams.
• Experience shaping product strategy and roadmaps with Product and Engineering leadership.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong craft, clear decision-making, and measurable business outcomes.
• Evidence-driven judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to communicate clearly with executive stakeholders.
• Deep Figma expertise and genuine curiosity about AI in design workflows.
