Junior Solutions Architect (Cloud/DevSecOps)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance required

Salary: $130,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Assist with end-to-end architecture design, system integration diagrams, and technical specifications for federal IT programs.
• Translate functional, operational, and mission requirements into solution designs and technical user stories.
• Create and maintain system-of-systems diagrams, interface control documents, and architectural blueprints.
• Support integration of software applications, cloud infrastructure, data engineering pipelines, and AI/ML workflows.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, and test teams to provide architectural guidance and resolve technical challenges.
• Apply cloud-native patterns, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methods, and federal security baselines.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience designing, configuring, or deploying cloud solutions; AWS experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of microservices, full-stack design patterns, and REST or GraphQL API integration.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, security scanning, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or an equivalent Azure or GCP certification.
• Federal government or DoD delivery experience.
• Experience with GitLab, Jira, Databricks, data lakes, distributed data processing, ETL/ELT, or Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration, RAG, LLM APIs, MLOps, Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
