Associate Design Engineer (Foundry)

Location: Hybrid position in Libertyville, Illinois, United States. The role is primarily office-based, with occasional work in a production environment and typical hours of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

What you will do

• Support design validation through thermal analysis, airflow evaluation, and electrical compatibility checks.
• Research manufacturing methods, materials, and production processes.
• Review and create 2D drawings, take physical measurements, support First Article Inspection, and contribute to Design for Manufacturing and Assembly reviews.
• Communicate with vendors about quotes, samples, and compliance with design requirements.
• Document test results, measurements, design findings, and vendor feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, manufacturing partners, and other stakeholders to resolve design and production issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a similar field by January 11, 2027.
• Experience with embedded systems and metal enclosure fabrication.
• Basic understanding of computer architecture and server hardware components.
• Interest in hands-on product development, design validation, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong documentation, presentation, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Existing U.S. work authorization is required.
