Senior Data Architect (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Location: Chicago, IL, USA; employees must be available to work onsite at a client location or hirify.global office as requested, with remote work available when compatible with business and client needs.

Salary: $120,000–$200,000 base pay per year.

What you will do

• Assess and advocate for data management technologies and practices, identifying gaps between current and target states.
• Design strategic plans that improve data integration, quality, governance, and delivery.
• Evaluate solution options and communicate architectural trade-offs before recommending optimal designs.
• Lead data engineers and technical teams through architecture, implementation, and best practices.
• Advise executive stakeholders and development teams on maximizing the business value of enterprise data.
• Contribute to data and analytics practice leadership, talent development, innovation, and business development proposals.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience implementing on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytics technologies.
• Advanced proficiency with modern data architectures and cloud services including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with real-time data distribution tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, and Airflow; NoSQL platforms including MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, and CosmosDB; and data warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks.
• Advanced end-to-end data architecture experience covering ingestion, storage, relational modeling, SQL, and Python.
• Experience recommending data governance practices covering MDM, security, privacy, and policies, as well as leading enterprise engineering implementations.
